4 Reasons We're Glad We Renewed Our Lease (at Battery 621)

We just renewed our lease at Battery 621—our very first physical office, and one we're not planning to leave anytime soon. If you've ever wondered whether a shared office space is worth it, here's our case for yes.

1. Built-in collaborators, not just neighbors

We're not just sharing a building with other companies—we're already working with several of them. Global Sales Guys, Onward Content, Three Creeks Custom Cabinets, Simple Send Media, Herb & Lou's—these aren't names on a directory, they're people we bump into at the coffee machine and end up brainstorming with. Turns out proximity is a pretty good business development strategy.

2. A room that means "work"

Working from home is great until your kitchen table starts doubling as your desk, your inbox, and your lunch spot all at once. Having a dedicated office gives us a space that means work—and just as important, it gives us a home that gets to stay home. The separation isn't a luxury; it's what lets us actually focus when we're here and actually switch off when we're not.

3. Inspiration on tap

There's always something happening at Battery 621—bring-your-dog-to-work days, yoga, the occasional comedy show. It sounds small, but stepping away from a screen for twenty minutes to laugh or stretch or say hi to someone's golden retriever has a way of unsticking a stalled idea. Creative work needs input, and this building keeps feeding us some.
